Committees and topics

There will be seven committees in IMUNBP 2024, and these ae the topics that will be discussed:

• SC - Security Council (ADVANCED)

Topic: Measures to decrease tensions in the Southeast Asia region with special regards to the South China Sea disputes.

• DISEC - Disarmament and International Security (ADVANCED)

Topic: Measures to combat the excessive use of alternative warfare with special regards to the weaponisation of artificial intelligence and cyber-attacks. 

• CTC - Counter-Terrorism Committee

Topic: Measures to prevent the online recruitment of terrorist fighters with special regards to discriminated minorities. 

• HRC - Human Rights Council

Topic: TBD

• CSW - Comission of the Status of Women

Topic: Measures to regulate women’s safety and rights in the prostitution sector. 

• COPUOS- Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space

Topic: Measures to discuss property rights in outer space, with special regard to SpaceX’s plan of colonizing Mars. 

• WHO - World Health Organization

Topic: Measures to ensure ethical development of genetic engineering.
